England's Nazis aren't going away-they will be back and they will murder Refugees in their sanctuaries.
2024 aches and groans under unrelenting cruelty unleashed against the vulnerable by society unspooling. Not even one week old, but August is a pitiless storm of unreason and hatred.
The press and politicians defined the explosion of violence in Liverpool, Sunderland, Hull, Rotherham and 34 other locations over the weekend in England and Belfast as riots by the far right against "immigration." But they were in truth pogroms against the Muslim and refugee communities. Xenophobia, racism and Islamophobia have run amok in Britain, Europe, America and Canada because the political and news media class encourage it.
Hatred is a learned behaviour and the news media ever since the war against Palestinians began in Gaza has been working overtime to make their annihilation by Israel a regrettable but necessary slaughter. You can only make a case for the mass death of a people- if you dehumanise the victims of genocide along with the religion they hold. So you make them supporters of terrorism and malign their religion as violent, misogynistic and primitive.
Naturally, these negative stereotypes will seep into the consciousness of a population, whose identity is already conditioned by xenophobia, especially if that society has systemic economic inequality that has left many without the accoutrements of the good life as defined by neoliberalism. England is a perfect Petrie dish to grow nazism because its news media and political class are addicted to harnessing racism to maintain the unequal status quo.
Sadly if it was only England that did this, democracy might have had a chance of defeating fascism. But every G7 nation is now doing it. They have created in their citizens animosity for refugees and migrants because they need scapegoats to lay the blame for the cost of living crisis, the housing crisis, and the growing authoritarianism of their governments.
Outside of refugees from the war in Ukraine, the West has closed its ears to the cries of the forsaken. Refugees are brutalised- in inhumane camps our governments fund on the fringes of Europe and America to keep "migrants" from entering our nations. They drown on the high seas in their multitudes- looking to find a haven with us. But we don't see refugees as human anymore they are not Einstein or Thomas Mann, they are scroungers, economic vagrants out to take our benefits. It's a lie told to us to stop us from caring.
There are just too many crises from the cost of living to housing preying upon the minds of the ordinary citizens who have been conditioned to blame not the rich for their poverty but those who are worse off than themselves.
But it doesn't have to be that way and there is some element of free will in all of us.
My dad grew up in extreme poverty and his education was spotty and ended at 14. Never in his life did he blame immigrants, the more vulnerable than him or refugees for his early misfortunes. He knew the hunger of his youth came from the greed of the entitled and capitalism.
The more we ignore the refugee crisis, the more we dehumanise refugees; the closer we come to the end of society, democracy and a civilisation worth preserving.
Britain is on the knife edge. Blood is going to flow on the streets soon. The Nazi mob will come back and they will murder refugees and Muslims because, after decades of neoliberalism, our sense of humanity is in tatters.

Most of the non-white refugees and migrants are coming as a direct result if white, western colonialism and the murder and oppression that went with it, and as a result if the northern hemisphere’s exploitation of the plant making much of the southern hemisphere uninhabitable. Most of the refugees are not white - had Ukrainians not been white there would have been far fewer let in. Capitalism is a profoundly exploitative, racist system that cannot be fixed. Hopefully, out of the turmoil and misery will come a new society and world based on cooperation. It goes without saying that the American Empire will have to be done away with first.
