I could’ve written these words myself, but I didn’t, but they certainly echo my feelings and viewpoints.

There are so many feeling the same way about how everything has spun out of control. We are all fellow travellers through this new dystopia. Take care, John

I was nearly in tears reading this. It's a dark consolation to realise I'm not alone in the world in anticipating genocide.

Solidarity, comrade!

What does solidarity mean in this context? That's a question for you. I believe it's a starting thought for further exploration. It was my first response to your words: What are we trying to hold together while everything feels like it's falling apart? Each other? Ourselves? Hope? Love? Community?

It is an acknowledgement of a shared affinity on how everything has spun out of control. It's a salute to a fellow traveller walking their own way in this chaos and dystopia.

Solidarity to me means I am glad that I am on the downhill of the mountain of life. I am not suicidal but I do not want to live in what is coming--the 1-2% continuing to destroy the 98%, government hijacked by insane MAGATs in the U.S., my general pessimism of future life in a world that cares nothing about the people who make our world run but caters to the overlords who want only money and power while peons & serfs labor for scraps to survive, the overlords destroying the planet for their greed. My only consolation is that the 1-2% share this planet with us and they will be destroyed by the environment as well. They are delusional if they think Musk will rocket them off planet.

It's a very dark comfort indeed, to be assured I'm not mad because of the way I join the dots. I want to be wrong about this and I do fight it in my own way. But the powerful, particularly now with their surveillance tools and psychometric analysis of data, have such an upperhand. It would be a brighter comfort if our catapult down to dystopian hell can be arrested in my lifetime. Your words echo my thoughts: I don't want to live in the world that's coming. I'm not suicidal but I feel relief for those who will not witness it nor suffer through it.

Made me smile, "wake up dead" however, I hope there's a place to do that and find the good souls we've lost 🫶 in this cruel world
