Back in 2017, when I was treated for mouth cancer I was at a very low ebb and may even have considered assisted suicide if it had been an option. 7 years later I'm still going strong and am glad the option wasn't on the table.

In your column you refer to taxpayers paying for medical costs. They don’t if it is from federal spending. Sovereign currency issuing nations like the UK or Canada or the USA create the money they use for spending neither borrowing nor taxing. Subnational govts are different.

They never anted the vulnerable to be accorded benefits that would provide them a dignified life. They never wanted housing to be plentiful or affordable. And hey never wanted wages to be fair. So it is stretch to believe them that dignity in death is their creed."

I’m sorry to have to tell you that while I appreciate your writing I don’t appreciate the continual pleas from you for a monetary contribution. I’m sorry that you have trouble paying your rent but I don’t like to be constantly guilted into subscribing to your articles.
